Project Engineer (Full Time)

 Status: Exempt | Revised: April 2024


Assigned to a project or several small projects as the person responsible for engineering documentation, material planning, job accounting, obtaining government permit/passes.

Other Duties / Functions (Not limited to):

  • Ensures safe working conditions

  • Overall project budget & material control

  • Assists in contract review

  • Assists in subcontract execution.

  • Assists in negotiating with vendors & subs

  • Assists in monthly projections

  • Approves invoices

  • Issues P.O after approval

  • Prepares billings

  • Reviews & submits timesheets

  • Obtains insurance certificates

  • Requests for bonds

  • Cost report update

  • Prepares written documentation on projects

  • Submits minutes of team meetings

  • Keep good relationships with clients

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Previous construction experience preferred but not required

  • Organization, problem-solving, and time management skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work individually but also able to collaborate with a team

  • Ability to use word, excel and Bluebeam

  • Ability to use word, excel and Bluebeam
