USGS Hilo Research Facility (Hawaiian Volvano Observatory & PIERC), located in Hilo, Hawaiʻi at the corner of Komohana Street and Nowelo Road. Project highlights construction of a federal research campus supporting the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) and Pacific Island Ecosystems Research Center (PIERC). Work involved site development, grading, utility infrastructure, drainage improvements, excavation, concrete preparation, and supporting civil construction for a 60,000 SF research facility on a 6.8 acre site.
